Cycling
Cycling has been more than just a hobby for me. It has allowed me to meet new people and explore new places as I travelled and lived in various parts of the world such as Korea, Vancouver, and Toronto.
Lately, I've been a part of UNC (United Nation of Cyclists), riding to promote diversity and inclusivity.

My Second Half
Ander
Perhaps the most drastic change, or rather an addition, to my life during summer was welcoming a new family member. I got Ander, my labrador retriever when he was just 8 weeks old. Having brought Ander home as my dog, and not a family dog, I was responsible for everything. Ander has taught me countless invaluable lessons in the span of several months.
Following months of training , Ander is now an indispensible companion. We go on offleash hikes, and adventures. He makes my day everyday and truly deserves to take on the second half of my name, (Alex) “Ander”.
Musical Expression
Saxophone
I have been playing saxophone since elementary school in grade 4. It has travelled with me all the way around the world, from Korea, to now Toronto. Though I am not currently part of any formal band, I still like to jam out on my sax from time to time.
Most Recent Experiences:
- Lead 1st soprano saxophonist and 2nd alto saxophonist in the Senior Jazz Band at UCC 2018-2019.
- Least 1st alto saxophonist in Concert Band at UCC 2017-2018.
- Lead 1st alto saxophonist in the Toronto Academy Wind Orchestra 2015-2017.
Just for fun
Though I’m not a trained singer by any means, one of my favourite things to do on the daily is to sing!
Through the Camera
Photography and film has been one of my biggest hobbies for the past several years. I received the Photography Award from Upper Canada College upon my graduation for outstanding contribution to the school throough photography; I was the head photographer for College Times during my time there. I am constantly learning new techniques in taking and editting pictures. Here are some of my edits!
